Membership in GSSA is free. There are no dues, no application fee, and no minimum commitment. Read who is eligible, what each category means, and how Active Member status works, then sign up with the form below.
GSSA has three categories of membership. All are free; only Active Members vote.
Any currently enrolled Saint Louis University undergraduate or graduate student who completes the GSSA membership form. Any major, any campus, no prior geospatial experience required.
A Student Member who attends at least one GSSA meeting or event during the current semester. Active Members may vote in GSSA elections and run for office if otherwise eligible.
Faculty, staff, alumni, practitioners, students from other institutions and other supporters. Affiliate Members are welcome at meetings and events and may serve on committees, but they cannot vote or hold elected office.
Membership categories and voting rights are defined in the GSSA Constitution and Bylaws. Read the Constitution and Bylaws.
Active Member status is what carries the vote and eligibility for office. It runs by semester, and it is easy to keep.
Active status is counted per semester. Miss a semester and you are still a Student Member — attend one meeting or event and Active status returns.
Members who have agreed to be listed publicly. This is not the full membership roster, which is private.
